Vozhyk and Nash Krai receive warnings from Ministry of Information
The periodicals founded by the information ministry get warnings from their founder for using RB instead of Republic of Belarus.
Ministry of Information issued a warning to the periodicals Vozhyk and Nash Krai. The reason was their use of the short name of their government registration agency: "Ministry of Information of the RB" instead of the full name "The Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus". This was an official response of the Information Ministry to inquiries from the press secretary of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Barys Haretski. It turned out that the Information Ministry issued a warning to the magazine Vozhyk of which it is the founder.
Euroradio checked state publications for the short titles, after the Ministry of Information issued a warning to the newspaper Gantsavitski Chas and Intex-Press for the abbreviation RB.
State periodicals Vozhyk, Kacheli and Respublika were printed with the same abbreviations. The Respublika did not receive a warning, because they 'fixed it in time'.
In total, six periodicals were already issued a warning for the abbreviation RB. Among them are Borisovskie Novosti and Reklamny Borjomi.
