Will Respublika get a warning from the Ministry?
Euroradio has found the same violations with the state media as the Information Ministry has with the public ones.
Gazeta Slonimskaya, Intex-Press and Gantsavitski Chas has received warnings from the Ministry of Information. Officials have punished Gantsavitski Chas and Intex-Press for abbreviating the name of the authority that registered the publication: 'Ministry of Information of RB' instead of the full name '... of the Republic of Belarus'.
The officials did not notice the information about the Gazeta Slonimskaya circulation, which, as can be seen from the pdf version, was on the front page of the publication.
We looked into the Sayuzdruk kiosk to see what state newspapers have similar abbreviations. The publication of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus - the newspaper Respublika. Its latest issue of February 27 has no indication about the registration body. Here we simply see a notice: 'Registration Certificate 4, February 19, 2009'.
Now let's read the Law on Media: 'Every issue of the printed media outlet should have indication of: "The republican government media authority that had registered this printed media, the number of state registration certificate.'
Children's magazine Kacheli, printed by the Minsk Executive Committee Department of Education, also shortens the name of the authority issuing the registration.
Same with the Vozhyk magazine from the publishing house Zvyazda. In the 12th issue of the last year the editors wrote 'RB' instead of 'Republic of Belarus'.
The same approach to the body that registered the magazine is used by the editors of the... Baranavichy rayon Nash Krai. No information is available about the warning to the official newspaper in Baranavichy. Two warnings withing a year can be a ground for suspension by the Ministry of Information.

"A warning is issued to all publications that violate the law on mass media," Ministry of Information explained to Euroradio. There are established names of public authorities, the name Republic of Belarus should not be shortened."
Euroradio: But the newspaper Respublika does not indicate which authority has issued a certificate of registration at all.
Ministry of Information: Thank you for the information.
