Yanukovich’s money to be spent on Ukrainian reforms?
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski says Yanukovich's assets can be used to finance economic reforms in Ukraine.
Money from Victor Yanukovich’s foreign accounts may become a source of financing for the economic reforms Ukraine needs, censor.net.ua reports.
Poland considers Yanukovich an ex-President, Sikorksi confirmed. Yanukovich did something unbelievable, he said. The Polish Minister was astonished at the Ukrainian leader’s behaviour – he fled from Kiev right after signing the anti-crisis agreement.
It is necessary to fight corruption and conduct reforms to improve the economic situation in Ukraine, Sikorski noted. Poland is trying to convince the European Union to let Ukraine spend the money from runaway officials’ western accounts on reforms.
