Youth activist Andrei Tsanyuta detained in Homel
The police detained a youth activist Andrei Tsanyuta yesterday. He was distributing leaflets containing information about sending down a student of the faculty of mathematics, a civil and political activist Zmitser Zhaleznichenka near the entrance to the university. Let us remind you that the third year student was sent down for “systematic violation of the university regulations” on September 7. However, he is sure he was expelled for his civil activities – Zmitser is the deputy head of a civil organization of local lore “Talaka” and the deputy head of a regional organization “BNF Youth”. Now he is trying to avoid the expulsion.
Two administrative protocols were drawn up against the detained – for pasting information leaflets in inappropriate places and for hooliganism (using bad language in a public place).
Tsyanuta has been delivered to the confinement cell and will stay there till the trial that will take place on September 17. Zmitser Zhaleznichenka and Mikalai Byanko who had come there to support their friend were also detained and released a bit later.
