Youth Front leader gets 7 days of arrest for Europe's Day action
Minsk's Pershamayski Ditrict Court on Wednsday sentenced Malady Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich to 7 days of administrative arrest.
Dashkevich was punished for taking part in the action titled "Europe's Day" that was organized by the European Coalition on May 1 near the National Library in Minsk. The police said that the activist was shouting slogans, calling for Belarus to join the European Union, thus violating the procedures for the organization of mass events, writes Nasha Niva newspaper.
Earlier, Mikalai Statkevich and Arthur Finkevich had also been penalized on the same charges.
