“Zhdanovichy” administration yields to meeting participants
Participants of the spontaneous meeting at Zhdanovichy car market have celebrated their victory. They tried to make the administration lower the entrance fee. The spontaneous meeting occurred this morning. 300 people took part in it. The reason for it was another increase of the market entrance fee – from 95 to 100 thousand rubles.
In the opinion of the leader of the entrepreneurs Anatol Shumchnanka, the car sellers’ indignation was reasonable:
Shumchnanka: What is the essence of the conflict? The site where cars are sold is not equipped for it. People are up to the neck in mud. So the indignation is reasonable. We cannot accept such excuses as “it has not been approved and we cannot asphalt the site”. If you own an object, it has to be equipped.
The market’s director Henadz Padbyarezny has claimed to BelaPAN that the entrance fee will most likely be increased to 100 thousand rubles next week anyway.
Shumchnanka thinks that if the administration manages to asphalt the site within a week, the increase of the entrance fee may be justified at least by something.
