Wages lower than average in 108 out of 118 Belarus' districts
The Belarusian Statistics Committee has published the data on the average salary in Belarusian districts as of May 2013.
The average salary across the country is a little less than Br 5 million, or $575.
According to nn.by, only the population of the cities Novapolatsk, Minsk, Hrodna, Homel, and Zhlobin, Rechytsa, Mazyr, Dzyarzhynsk, Minsk, Salihorsk and Smalyavichy districts earn more than the average salary, while 108 districts are paid less.
Besides, Salihorsk district stays the richest. In May, the average salary here made more than Br 7 million 300 thousand, which is about $ 840 in the equivalent. Then goes Novapolatsk ($ 754), Minsk ($ 727) and Mazyr district ($ 636).
Residents of Braslau district earn the least ($ 391) and Loyeu district ($ 393). Other districts crossed the line of $ 400 this May.
