Belarus-EU relations discussed in Brussels
Belarus-EU relations were discussed in Brussels. Belarus’ permanent representative in the European Union (Ambassador to Belgium) Alyaksandr Mihnevich has met with European politicians. He talked to the co-chairperson of the parliamentary assembly of the Eastern Partnership ‘Euronest’ Heidi Hautala and head of the EP delegation for relations with Belarus Bogdan Zdrojewski.
Mikhnevich described the parliamentary election campaign in Belarus (the election will be held on September 11) to the MEPs, the Belarusian MFA press service reports. The current relations between official Minsk and Brussels were also discussed. Both sides shared opinions about the prospects of Belarus-EP cooperation and membership in the Eastern Partnership.
