Belarus not to block websites prohibited in Russia

According to him, it was a technical issue. "We buy internet for our country from dozens of suppliers, which can be divided into two groups: the Russian operators and the Western ones," newspaper SB. Belarus Today quotes as Sivadzedau says. "The Russian operators must obey the Russian legislation and be guided by Roscomnadzor's list of the websites that should be blocked at the territory of the Russian Federation. However, it happened so they were blocked at our territory as well."  

A corresponding enquiry was sent to the Russian operators. As a result they separated the internet bought by Beltelecom. Now the access to the websites that were blocked at the territory of Belarus is open, informed Beltelecom CEO Syarhei Sivadzedau.
