A show trial of two students - Daniil Lukyanau and Maksim Mikhnich - was held at the Belarusian State Technical University. They received 15 days of administrative detention for "propaganda or public presentation, production and distribution of Nazi symbols and attributes." Their cell phones were confiscated, reports TV channel "Belarus 1".
KGB officers in full gear detained the students. One of the boys comes from a large family. It is noted that the students "face automatic expulsion."
"Mobile courts are rather a rarity in educational institutions," reads the story. It increasingly becomes a common phenomenon in today's Belarus. It was the second such trial at the BSTU, the first was last week. It is emphasized that another 30 people, on whom "compromising materials" were found in chat rooms, will be tried.
