The Belarusian Air Force has increased patrols at the border with Ukraine. According to the newspaper Naš Kraj, the 61st Fighter Air Base in Baranavičy explained the more frequent aircraft flights: Su-30SM fighters "patrol the airspace along the state border of the southern operational direction." The flights are carried out at an altitude of about 8,000 meters and a speed of about 750 km/h "in combat orders at minimum intervals and distances."

A week ago, the Baranavičy base reported that its aviation was being sent to the airfield in the south of Belarus. This was done " to strengthen the state border" with Ukraine.

In August, the regime of Aliaksandr Lukashenka spoke about "strengthening the grouping of troops" near the state border with Ukraine. Kyiv called on Minsk to withdraw its troops from the border.
