Crimean Parliament and governmental building seized in Simferopol
Armed strangers have seized the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet’s buildings in the centre of Simferopol.
Leader of the Crimean Tatars Majlis Refat Chubarov said so, UNIAN reports. The people are wearing uniform without tokens, he added.
All members of the Crimean Verkhovna Rada have a day off today, other mass media report. Russian flags can be seen on both buildings.
An improvised barricade (made of wooden trays and garbage cans) is installed in front of the entrance to the Parliament. The building is encircled by the police. Most policemen have gathered near the building of the Crimean Cabinet. They do not allow people to approach the building.
