Belarus will take a decision about providing Internet access in public transport soon, senior deputy Minister of Information and Communication Dzmitry Shadko said on Belarus-1.

There are technical possibilities for it, the official noted. However, there is also a threat. “The cyber crime grows with the accessibility of the Internet. We need to take measures in response to it,” BelaPAN quotes Shadko.

Nevertheless, the process should not be bureaucratized much, the official thinks.

The 4G technology is being introduced in Belarus: it is being tested din Minsk, Shadko said. The preparation for the introduction of the G5 technology will start in a few years.
