EU’s contribution to Chernobyl projects reaches 730 million euro
The European Union donated 730 million euro for Chernobyl projects, the European Commission announced in its statement dated for the 30th anniversary of Chernobyl disaster (signed by Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy). The inhabitants of Belarus, Ukraine and a number of other countries keep struggling with the consequences of Chernobyl affecting people’s health and environment, the statement authors noted.
“The human dimension of the catastrophe is in our hearts,” the EU representatives wrote.
