Ex-senator Shareika gets married and changes surname (photo)

Ex-senator Hanna Shareika has got married and changed her surname. It happened in Vitsebsk on August 14. There were 80 guests including Lithuanians and Russians at the banquet. Shareika got married to Lithuanian businessman Valdemaras Norkus. She has not changed her passport yet, Shareika told tut.by. There were four variants of her new surname and she chose Norkus.

Director general of Vitebsk poultry factory Hanna Shareika and Valdemaras Norkus spent almost two years in prison in Belarus. Shareika was accused of power and authority abuse and the businessman – of complicity. The director and five of her subordinates were returned guilty by the Supreme Court in June but were immediately let off. Norkus was released in July.
