History Faculty Dean: Faculties merger is not a reprisal!
Dean Edmund Yarmusik says the merger of History and Sociology Faculty with Tourism Faculty at Hrodna State University is normal.
He has expressed such opinion in a conversation with Euroradio.
Edmund Yarmusik: "I don't think this is a reprisal or something like this. This is a normal process. There were times when the Soviet republics were united, then they fell apart. Europe created the European Union. This is a normal process."
Euroradio reminds, several lecturers were fired from the History and Sociology Faculty at Hrodna University within the last year, due to various reasons: one of the authors of "Learning Hrodna" Andrei Charnyakevich, Doctor of Science Vyachaslau Shved.
It is unknown so far whether there will be any staff reduction after the uniting of the two faculties.
