KGB confirms Belarusbank top manager's detention
KGB spokesperson Dzmitry Pabyarezhyn has confirmed the detention of senior deputy head of Belarusbank Henadz Haspadaryk.
“He was detained at the moment of accepting a bribe (14 thousand dollars) on June 15,” BELTA quotes the KGB representative.
A criminal case for bribery has been started against the detained top-manager (part 3 of article 430 of the Criminal Code of Belarus). The investigation is in process now, Pabyarezhyn said.
Haspadaryk’s detention was reported on June 16. The manager used to be Belarusbank deputy head in 2002-2012 and has been senior deputy head since 2012.
