Lukashenka: Better not play hockey at all if you can’t play well
The President mentioned the future Ice Hockey Championship while awarding the Belarusian Olympic heroes.
It will be held in Belarus in May 2014.
The Belarusian team needs to perform well at the championship, Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted: “If you cannot play well and are not ready to struggle – you should better not play hockey at all.”
Lame excuses (being unable to compete with strong teams from big countries) will not be accepted. “I would be very happy to gather our hockey players and coaches (not only Glen Hanlon) and say thank you for your success after the championship. I cannot imagine anything else,” BELTA reports.
