Lukashenka promises ‘not to give our great Victory to anyone’
The Belarusian President announced it at the today’s meeting with Russian PM Dmitri Medvedev in Moscow.
"We are not going to give our Victory to anyone, the humanity should thank us for that Victory,” BELTA quotes Alyaksandr Lukashenka. Modern Belarusians have no reason to be shy of the generations that struggled for the Victory.
The Victory Day has always been celebrated at the greatest holiday in Belarus, Lukashenka noted. He also said that his visit to Russia before May 9 was not accidental: “We have come to congratulate Russians on this great holiday.”
Dmitry Medvedev has asked to congratulate Belarusian veterans on behalf of the Russian government.
