Nearly 52K Belarusians received EU residence permits in 2017

Almost 52 000 Belarus nationals received a residence permit in the European Union in 2017. Poland issued the biggest number of permirs - over 42 000. Only 3 Belarusians received a residence permit in Lichtenstein, reports Eurostat. 2874 Belarusians received a residence permit in Lithuania, 1212 - in the Czechia, 1050 - in Germany, and 621 - in the UK.

The majority of those people - 25500 - recieved their residence permir due to work, almost 3000 for family reasons, and nearly 2000 to study in the EU countries.
