Political refugee Siuchyk wants to return to Belarus (video)
He believes that the opposition should take advantage of the change in the situation due to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The leader of the solidarity movement Razam (Together), political emigrant Vyachaslau Siuchyk wants to return to Belarus after a five-year political exile. His decision has to do with the next presidential elections in Belarus, Radio Liberty reports.
At the same time, Mr Siuchyk calls the campaign "electoral farce". According to him, "electoral farce" has been held in Belarus since 1996.
Mr Siuchyk: "The difference between the current election farce and the rest is only in two respects: the situation has changed dramatically due to the Russian aggression against Ukraine, Lukashenka was afraid to release Mikalai Statkevich from prison."
The solidarity movement Razam (Together), which is headed by Mr Siuchyk, supported the nomination of political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich as a presidential candidate. The movement plans to work together with the Democratic Party (Narodnaya Hramada) - party of Mr Statkevich.
Mr Siuchyk believes that within the framework of the election campaign it is necessary to carry out policy objectives of the solidarity movement Razam (Together) - to combat ethnocide, to support entrepreneurs and to demand the release of political prisoners.
