Putin’s ex-adviser: Crimea is only a start, Kiev is next
Andrei Illarionov has shared his opinion about ‘the Russia-Ukraine crisis’.
Virtually, Crimea has already been annexed by Russia, he told Die Presse. “Moreover, an attack on Kiev has also been prepared,” Illarionov said. “Putin’s goal is Kiev and the whole Ukraine. He wants a land corridor from Crimea to Transnistria where ex-KGB officers and FSB agents are ruling now. The corridor will deprive Ukraine of its access to the Black Sea.”
“Putin planned the attack on Ukraine a year ago”, Illarionov thinks. If the USA and EU do not take any measures, the realization of the plan will just be “a matter of time”. Putin can only be stopped if the Western military troops head for the conflict area, the expert thinks.
