Buzek: Belarus becomes a laboratory for non-democratic forces
The EP President has declared it in Tbilisi at Community of Democracies Parliamentary Forum.
The President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek is concerned that Belarus is turning into a laboratory for non-democratic countries of the world. According to UNIAN, he has made such statement in Tbilisi at the Community of Democracies Parliamentary Forum: "Democratisation in Europe and Europe's Neighbourhood".
“I am concerned that what is attempted there will be copied by other countries in some other regions of the world. Belarus is becoming a social and political laboratory for non democratic forces. This is why we can not be indifferent”, —Buzek has said.
The EP President has reminded that the EU showed willingness to dialogue with Minsk. However, the response to their openness was police and prisons for the opposition.
