European Commission allocates €720 thousand to Belarusian civil society
The European Commission has launched the project “Civil Society Stability for Belarus”.
It will be administered by the Nordic Council of Ministers, reports the CSSB website.
The objective of the project is to support of the victims of the reprisals to help them cope with the effects of the repression and reintegrate into society. It will also provide support to civil society organization, in particular to the media, to enable them continue their activities and carry awareness campaigns in Belarus and outside the country.
720 thousand euro has been allocated for it. The deadline for applications is 17 June 2011.
