IAEA experts to assess possibility of NPP construction in Belarus
14 atomic energy experts will be working in Belarus until June 30.
They will visit the building site of the Belarusian NPP together with Belarusian specialists. Experts will assess nuclear safety, the creation of the required legal base, the influence on the environment, emergency plans and the preparation of the NPP staff.
The presence of such missions in the countries planning to build their first NPPs is required according to the IAEA recommendations, informs BelTA.
