Syarhei Kavalenka detained in Vitsebsk for flag action
The Vitsebsk activist appeared in a central street of the city with three big white-red-white flags today. He was detained 20 minutes later.
Syarhei Kavalenka has been delivered to Railway District Department of the Interior.
This is not the first time the activist has been detained with national flags. The most notorious detention occurred on December 7, 2010 when Kavalenka attached a white-red-white flag to the city Christmas Tree. He was put on probation for it, reminds the human rights centre “Vyasna”.
