Yarmoshyna: Exact election date to be announced in August
About $10 million is expected to be spent on the first ballot.
The exact election date will be announced in Belarus at the beginning of August, CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna told journalists on January 20.
The technical preparation for the election has been started long ago, the official added. All the documents are ready and the first ballot is expected to cost about $10 million, Yarmoshyna noted.
"The real preparation will start when the House of Representatives appoints the election date. It will be done at the beginning of August,” BELTA quotes the CEC chairperson.
Foreign observers will be invited after the election date is appointed, she added.
The election will most likely be held on November 15, Yarmoshyna said.
