Alina Talai fails to make it to 100m hurdles final

Alina Talai was unsuccessful in the 100m hurdles. The Belarusian hit a barrier and was the last to finish the race. He result was 13.66 seconds.

"My first race was like a death race. There were three world championship medal winners and a European champion running with me. My coach knew that it was like a final and that I had to run at full power. I decided to take the risk but failed and hit a barrier. I could not keep running anymore,” the National Olympic Committee’s website quotes the runner.

Talai apologized to Belarusian amateurs of sports for failing to meet their expectations.
