"Belaruskali will continue to fight for lifting Western sanctions," CEO Andrei Rybakou said in a state television broadcast on Belarus 1 channel.
"In any case, we'll remember about ourselves and those unlawful actions directed against Belaruskali, against our country," he said.
As Euroradio reported, on November 4, Lukashenka appointed Andrei Rybakou as general director of Belaruskali. He replaced Ivan Halavaty, to whom Lukashenka promised to send ambassadors to countries where they knew the Russian language.
Belaruskali fell under EU sanctions in 2022. The company petitioned the EU court to overturn this decision. However, in September this year, the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg refused to lift the restrictive measures.
