Russian ambassador: Any attack on Belarus is attack on Russia

Russian ambassador to Belarus Mikhail Babich has commented on the plan to deploy a permanent US military base in Poland. It is ‘an alarming factor’, he announced in an interview with the Belarusian state TV channel Belarus 1.
Babich: “[Moscow] will consider any attack on Belarus, any military attack, to be an attack on Russia with all the ensuing consequences.”
“Belarus is fully protected and can feel safe,” the Russian Ambassador said. There is total mutual understanding in the relations between Minsk and Moscow, he noted. The united [Belarus-Russia] troops ‘have everything needed for defense and retaliation, Mikhail Babich stressed.
