Bahdanovič’s birthday marked under white-red-white flag (photo)
Civil activists have commemorated the poet near his monument in Minsk.
About a dozen people gathered near the monument to Maksim Bahdanovič in the square near the Opera and Ballet Theatre on the evening of December 9. They came to mark the poet’s birthday.
Participants of the annual action hoisted a white-red-white flag and laid flowers on the monument. They also sang songs to Bahdanovič’s verses.
Nobody was detained.
