Belarus may boost trade with China via Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan offered Belarus to actively use its transport structure for trade with China. Such a proposal was made on Thursday at a meeting of Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Nursultan Nazarbayev. The meeting took place in Istanbul, on the sidelines of the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
According to Lukashenka, the leaders of both countries agreed to make visits - Nazarbayev to Belarus, and Lukashenka to Kazakhstan, BELTA reports.
President of Kazakhstan noted that the development of economic relations between the two countries is progressing well. According to him, in late May in Astana was scheduled an event at the highest level in the EAEC format. "I think we will have there a separate meeting, an opportunity to get on the same page. We are brotherly countries, we have common goals, common aspirations and allies," Nazarbayev said.
Kazakhstan President noted that Belarus could use his country's transport infrastructure for trade with China. According to Nazarbayev, much has been recently done for the development of this sector, which significantly speeds up the delivery of goods.
