Editors of unregistered mass media visit Ministry of Information. In vain

"I do not think our today’s visit will be of any practical use”, - said the deputy editor-in-chief of an unregistered edition “Chemist. Two cities” Syarhei Balai during a press conference dedicated to the results of the negotiations:

Balai: "However, it is important that all the three newspapers have drawn officials’ attention to the fact that it is a common case, that we are not separate, and that we would like to do our job. Furthermore, a newspaper means additional vacancies, salaries and taxes that we pay…”
A human rights activist Alena Tankachova has urged other unregistered mass media to take part in the process and make it public:

Tankachova: “I am sure that joint coordinated public actions directed at the organization of a process of registration of mass media will increase the chance of regional mass media to be registered.

There is an illusion that it will work if I enter their room quietly, if I talk to the official amiably and if no one gets to know about it. The tactics does not work. The state machine will not hear us if we talk to it one by one”.

Vadzim Barshcheuski (“Our Home”), Syarhei Balai (“Chemist. Two cities”), Uladzimir Shyla (“Salihorsk Plus”) and a human rights activist Alena Tankachova talked to the deputy Minister.
