Billionaire Peftsiyeu builds house near Minsk (photo)
$5 million is reportedly spent just to implement the initial stage of architectural design.
It does not include the cost of furnishing and beautification of the territory. The sum may double by the end of the construction.
The house of one of the richest and most influential businessmen, Uladzimir Pefstiyeu, will be situated in Raubichy near Minsk, Radio Liberty reports.
The premium-class house is ready. It is being furnished now and a separate road is being built for it. Gardens of thuja and similar flora are being planted there.
The building looks like a Swiss chalet with elements of hi-tech. Latvian architects are working on it. The area size is about 2 thousand square metres. There is a swimming pool behind a glass fence. There is also room for a winter garden. A guest house with baths is nearby.
The western mass media call Peftsiyeu “Lukashenka’s family wallet”. He was the first Belarusian businessman blacklisted by the EU in June 2011. The assets of his 3 leading companies were frozen – Beltechexpoprt, BT Telecommunications and SportPari. The sanctions have been lifted from Beltechexport this year.
