Lavrov reminds Makei about 'not very quiet informational noise'
Belarus' foreign policy chief Uladzimir Makei on February 21 met in Moscow with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. The press office of Russia's Foreign Ministry reported that Lavrov noted when welcoming Makei as follows: "Today's contact underlines that we are always ready to discuss any issues, including complex ones in order to find solutions." He also pointed to the fact that joint work "is happening at a not very quiet informational background."
According to Lavrov, the meeting aims to help the countries move forward in the implementation of coordinated actions in the field of foreign policy of the Union State of Russia and Belarus in 2016-2017."
The state news agency BELTA reports Uladzimir Makei stated that Belarus and Russia were to approach the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations with real actions.
