Le Monde doping reports false - Belarus Sports Ministry
Belarus Ministry of Sports has denied the reports made earlier by the French newspaper Le Monde on the doping Belarusian rowers. According to the Ministry press service, the French media reports do not correspond to reality and mislead readers. Belarusian Canoe Association is preparing to issue a statement on the matter - it will be published on Friday.
As Euroradio reported earlier, Le Monde reported citing private sources that 17 drug samples of Belarusian rowers contained meldonium (banned since 1 January 2016). It was argued that traces of "a heavier doping" had been found. However, this information is yet to be confirmed officially.
