Lukashenka to hold important meeting ‘without daydreaming’ today

The truth must not be coloured, the President warned the invited officials on January 30.

"It is essential that this sector should work,” BELTA quotes Lukashenka. “We will launch the enterprises as planned sooner or later anyway. The main problem is selling the products. It should not be only an intention; there must be contracts or preliminary contracts already prepared. This is essential. Otherwise, we will produce a lot of goods and will not be able to sell them.”

The Belarusian leader warned PM Mihail Mysnikovich that there should be no “castles in the air” because he “knows very well what is going on at each enterprise”.

The situation in woodworking and the industry modernisation attracted Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s attention last year. The problems that were not solved at Borisovdrev led to a number of dismissals including the dismissal of head of Minsk City Executive Committee Barys Batura.
