Lukashenka: Stability in Ukraine is impossible without Americans (video)
The Belarus leader comments on the prospects of the Eurasian Economic Union and his personal life in an interview to Bloomberg TV.
The Belarusian President gave an interview to leading reporter of Bloomberg TV Ryan Chilcote on March 31, BELTA reports. It is impossible to restore stability in Ukraine without the USA, the Belarusian President claimed.
Lukashenka is alerted because the USA has not joined the process of settling the conflict in Ukraine: “I believe that no stability can be restored in Ukraine without Americans. I have been meeting with official representatives of the United State of America a lot recently. I keep telling them that I do not know what Americans want in Eastern Europe but if they want peace and stability they should definitely join this process without delay.”
The military and political stability in general and the prospects of the Eurasian Economic Union and currency integration were also discussed during the interview.
Lukashenka also explained his understanding of the current economic and domestic-policy situation in Belarus before the presidential election. Personal issues were also touched upon.
