Makei: We will not lose our European partners (video)
Belarus, Russian foreign policy chiefs met Wednesday in Moscow.
Uladzimir Makei and Sergey Lavrov have approved a program of foreign policy actions for the next two years.
The Belarusian foreign minister reminded that Belarus and Russia "have been and will be connected by trade and economic relations." But he also stressed Belarus should not focus on economic cooperation with only one country or one integration grouping. He reminded that Belarus had recently engaged in a more active cooperation with the countries of South-Eastern Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
"But this does not mean that we are losing ties with our European partners and Russia in the first place," Uladzimir Makei is quoted as saying by the official news agency BELTA.
