On February 24, it was announced that the corpse of a man found nearly a week ago in the trunk of a Mercedes on Liebknecht street in Minsk was identified. As reported by the Investigative Committee, one of the relatives of the deceased identified Almanbet Anapiyaev. To exclude the error, the identification procedure continue with genetic fingerprnting test.
As was reported earlier by Kyrgyz media, the victim is a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, known in criminal circles as Almanbet of Alai. It is known that he was 41 years old. The first time he went to prison was in 2003 for robbery, he was sentenced to 8 years in prison, but three years later he was released. Four years ago, Anapiyaev was charged in absentia under three articles, including kidnapping. He was issued an international arrest warrant. According to unofficial information, in recent years, the criminal boss lived in the United Arab Emirates.
The Kyrgyz citizen was found in the trunk with a bag on his head, with his hands tied, and without shoes. He had a stab wound to the neck.
