Belarus grounds all military jets
Belarus Air Force aircraft will remain grounded until it becomes clear what caused the accident of the MiG-29 fighter jet earlier today.
Defense Ministry of Belarus has suspended flights of MiG-29, reports Interfax. The reason was the crash of today's fourth-generation fighter MiG-29 in the Lyahavichy area near Brest.
The Defense Ministry said that a special commission of the military department will investigate the causes of the accident.
Later BelaPAN reported that flights of all military aircraft were suspended throughout Belarus. It is still unknown, when the ban on flying other types of aircraft except for MiG-29 will be lifted.
As Euroradio reported, on November 11 an accident took place and military MiG-29 crashed. The pilot ejected. There were no reported victims or property destroyed as a result of the crash.
