Number of murders in Minsk grows by 26% this year
The crime rate in Minsk also stays the highest in the country.
This has been informed by the news agency Interfax-West with a reference to Chief Assistant of Minsk Prosecutor Syarhei Balashou. According to him, the crime rate in Minsk is 59,7 to the 10 thousand of population.
Also, according to the information of the Prosecutor's Office, the number of registered murders has grown by 26% (29) and the number of casualties - by 30% (30) in the first half of 2013 in Minsk. The number of such crimes has grown in Zavodzki, Pershamaiski and Maskouski districts of Minsk. Most murders (72%) were committed by drunk people, says Balashou.
Minsk Prosecutor's Office says that the crime rate in Central, Partizan, Soviet and Zavodzki districts is higher than the average city level.
