"Difficulties made us, our family, stronger" - says the ex-presidential candidate, the political refugee.
Euroradio: How did you manage to meet with your family, where did it happen?
Mihalevich: "I met with my wife and my youngest daughter in Vilnius, where my wife arrived on business. I am very happy that we managed to see each other, that we are together. This is very pleasant".
Euroradio: Were there any
obstacles for them?
Mihalevich: "No, there were none".
Euroradio: How long did the
meeting last?
Mihalevich: "I did not last long;
we met literally from morning till night. Several hours, but it's very pleasant
that we managed to meet, as I would like to, you know, be with my family all
the time, to meet more often".
Euroradio: Maybe, you discussed
a possibility for your family to move, or maybe you plan to meet more often?
Mihalevich: "We'll try to meet as often as
possible. As for moving, we decided not to make this issue public with my wife
so far".
Euroradio: How did your
daughter react to a meeting with you?
Mihalevich: "She hasn't turn two years old
yet. Every time I have a feeling that she partly forgets who this adult man is,
who's trying to take her in his arms, that he is her daddy. I hope she will see
me regularly".
Euroradio: How these events
influence your family relationship, has anything changed?
Mihalevich: "Such events can make a
relationship stronger or ruin it totally. In my case, I think, all this made
the family stronger".
