Anatol Lyabedzka wants to sue ONT
The United Civil Party will either bring an action against the channel or demand apologies.
Party leader Anatol Lyabedzka has commented on an episode of the ONT programme “Contours” where it was stated that he had not won the election of the UCP leader. The channel took an April joke of the website camarade.biz seriously.
Anatol Lyabedzka: “Either they did not understand the joke or they are so biased that they cannot work beyond the limits of propaganda. There should be some reaction. Unfortunately, we do not have an independent legal system or court where the issue could be considered. That is why we will demand apologies if we do not bring an action against them”.
According to the politician, ONT reckoned on the fact that some people did not read or listen to independent mass media and trusted everything that was said on TV. However, Lyabedzka is sure that the people’s trust to the authorities has already shaken and they do not perceive the opposition so negatively anymore.
Let us remind you that an article referring to Syarhei Kalyakin, Alyaksei Yanukeich and Dzyanis Sadouski appeared on the website of the newspaper “Comrade” on April 1.
