MTIN hopes to get Euronews back in January

Head of the marketing department of "Minsk TV Informational Networks" Maksim Dubovik has told this to Euroradio. The sum which became the reason for disagreement with the right holders of the Euronews has not been revealed - the MTIN's representatives claim that this is a commercial secret.

A MTIN's representative says that the price for re-broadcasting of the Euronews has been sufficiently increased since January 1, 2012, and the negotiations between the Belarusian and the foreign company were a failure.

Dubovik: "We negotiated with them in the end of last year. Unfortunately, we did not succeed in that. We will continue the negotiations this January. If we don't find understanding with our partner with whom we had agreement before, we will contact the TV-Channel's administration directly. We will do everything to get the channel back".

Let us remind you, broadcasting of the independent news TV-Channel Euronews was suspended by the MTIN at 0.02 on January 1. The Minskers are now shown the channel "NTV+Cinema plus" instead of the Euronews.
