Niavyhlas: We failed to make professionals out of boys from the yards…
The time when children will play football everywhere, like in Brasil, is still far off, — the Chairman of the Belarusian Football Federation thinks.
The Federation failed in organization of work with boys "in the yards and in classes" during the last 4 years. This leads to poor technique of young footballers, which makes "development of football complicated". The Chairman of the Association "Belarusian Football Federation" Henadz Niavyhlas has declared such an opinion at the Federation's conference which is taking place in Minsk.
In his opinion, the last 4 years have become the best in the history of Belarusian football. The highest possible coefficient of club football development was recorded last year in Belarus. That is why the BFF Chairman says he is not ashamed to leave his position (Niavyhlas announced this decision after publication of the list of Belarusian officials, banned from entering Europe). However, working with youth is one of the problems of Belarusian football.
Another problem concerns spectators' interest to football clubs, - Henadz Niavyhlas thinks. "We've done a lot, but many clubs still play without fans. The committee for relations with media hardly worked at all".
There are also problems in the field of the clubs' cooperation with big football arenas. "Football clubs have to pay for infrastructure, built for the BFF's expenses”, — Mr. Niavyhlas said.
In the end, the Chairman suggests reforming the BFF's executive committee. Like, 23 people and 4 deputies is an obsolete model... A council working with the head of the Association would be more effective - FIFA's administration is organized like this now. The most reasonable quantity of the committee's members is 12-13, and these should be only professionals in football.
