Valyantsin Stefanovich receives Danish newspaper’s prize
The human rights activist received the Politiken Freedom Prize in Copenhagen on November 14.
According to Radio Liberty, the human rights centre “Vyasna” has been awarded the prize for its contribution to the struggle for human rights and democracy in Belarus. The prize is awarded by the Danish newspaper "Politiken Daily" that is working in the field of human rights.
Valyantsin Stefanivich has described the activities of “Vyasna” at the public awards ceremony. Let us remind you that the trial of the head of “Vyasna”, Ales Byalyatski, will be resumed tomorrow, on November 16. The prosecutor has taken a break to change the indictment. The human rights activist was accused of tax evasion.
