Russians doubt Stalin's police executed Polish officers in Katyn
"The Polish president visited Katyn, not Vladimir Putin," notes the German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung about the visist by Polish President Lech Kaczynski to Katyn, where thousands of Polish troops were executed by the Stalin's secret police NKVD.
"The today's Russians do not bear responsibilities for Stalin's crimes. Poland is interested in good relations with Russia".
At the same time, the pro-government Rossiyskaya Gazeta wrote that tens of thousands of Poles and Belarusians were executed not by NKVD but some unknown perpetrators. The writer hints that the Nazi could be responsible for this massacre, reports gazeta.pl
