Term ‘invalid’ may be removed from official documents in Belarus

Belarus may refuse from the term ‘invalid’ in documents. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is studying the possibility of changing terms in the draft “On invalids’ rights and social integration”. The international experience will be taken into account, BELTA quotes deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Alyaksandr Rumak.

The term ‘disabled people’ may start being used instead of ‘invalids’ in documents. Minsk is waiting for the UN structures to comment on the initiative.
