Ukraine, NATO agree on arms supplies, money and close cooperation

The Ukrainian President and the leaders of the Alliance member states took part it the meeting. They reached an agreement on military and technical cooperation and arms supplies, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko claimed after the meeting. The agreement was not reached with the Alliance itself but with its separate member states, he stressed.

The Alliance member states will allocate €15 million to Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen  claimed. The Alliance has also prepared a pack of measures aimed at helping Kiev in different spheres: cyber security, logistics, special communications and command programmes. NATO members will help wounded soldiers and render assistance in defence sphere reforms, TSN notes.

Ukraine will enhance its cooperation with NATO focusing on reforming the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other power structures, Poroshenko claimed.
